Old sponges, please don’t throw them away: “They’re worth their weight in gold”… Show more

  1. Nail Polish Remover Pot
Placed in the center of a small glass and soaked with nail polish remover, the sponge becomes a quick and easy way to degrease and clean your fingernails.
  2. Scratch Protection & Cushioning
Cut the sponge into small pieces and stick them under furniture legs or use them when packing fragile items.
  3. Save them for the “dirty” jobs

Use old kitchen sponges one last time for tasks where a new sponge would be too precious:

Cleaning car rims
Scrubbing garden tools
Cleaning bicycle chains
Hygiene tip: For planting or household hacks, only use sponges that have been thoroughly cleaned beforehand with hot water or in the dishwasher to prevent bacterial growth.
