Problems sleeping. When your kidneys are not working properly, it means that toxins cannot leave your body through urine and remain in your blood. The increased level of toxins makes it difficult to fall asleep. That is why when you sleep less, the chances of kidney function declining increase.
Warning: People with chronic kidney disease are more likely to suffer from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a disorder that causes one or more pauses in breathing while you sleep. These pauses can last from a couple of seconds to a minute. After each pause, normal breathing returns with a loud snort. Loud, continuous snoring is a sign that it’s time to see a doctor.
