How to get rid of bad breath?

Why does my mouth stink if I brush my teeth every day?

I asked myself this question, just like you, a couple of years ago, before knowing what I’m about to tell you. You see,  there are more than one reason  for bad breath. To know what to do, you first have to identify where the problem is coming from…

These are some of the  most common causes  that you didn’t know could be affecting you:

  • A rotten tooth:  Sometimes we haven’t even realized it… Rotten teeth are a nightmare, especially because of the debris they store. It’s certainly an  emergency  if this is your case, since normally only the dentist can cure that bad smell (curing the cavity).
  • Onion, garlic, pepper:  These are just some of the foods that cause irritability and/or bad breath after consumption…  be careful with strong flavors.
  • Eating too much meat, too much sugar, or too few carbs:  Any of these could cause bad breath. A barbecue or ice cream once in a while won’t hurt, but every day will definitely cause bad breath.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, and coffee:  Alone, they can cause bad odor, but together they can cause bad odor for several reasons. They reduce saliva production and can harm you in a thousand ways. It’s best not to consume them or do so in moderation.
  • Respiratory infections or  liver problems:  These can also cause bad breath.
